Barry Crisman Original Art
Hand painted in Southern Arizona by local artist and desert enthusiast, Barry Crisman. Each original art piece is hand painted on a 6x6 birchwood panel, featuring unique Southwestern designs and turquoise sourced from Tucson’s very own Gem & Mineral Show.
Originally from Ulster Country, New York, Barry moved to Arizona in 1987. Soon thereafter he discovered Coyote Gourds (Cucurbita palmata) and began painting intricate geometric designs on the dried gourds, turning them into hanging ornaments. His fascination with southwest petroglyph symbols led him to paint his own interpretations of these ancient designs. In 2015, after a request for wall art, Barry started painting on masonite board and American birchwood panels.
Barry’s artwork is sold in fine gift stores and galleries throughout the American southwest. For more information, visit Barry's website.
